The 2005 Syrah is our fourth vintage produced of this deep, luscious wine. Grown in the well-drained volcanic soils of the legendary Monte Rosso Vineyard, this wine is very approachable now and will age well for several years.

Sonoma Valley 2005. Very little Syrah is planted on "Monte Rosso"
and Mark Oberschulte would know:
his day job is vineyard manager there.
Deep garnet in color; intense black cherry and boysenberry
aromas with undertones of chocolate and cedar. A robust,
full bodied Syrah with luscious tannins that melt away in
a terrific flavorful finish. Leaves you wanting more.
The Mountain Man has really outdone himself on this one!
